• SK+G and The Pitch

    / Comments (0)

Great article in the LV Sun today about SK+G and their appearance on the upcoming show on AMC "The Pitch."

They will appear on the premiere episode facing off an unnamed NYC agency pitching Waste Management for a project contract.

The most interesting quote from Jerry Kramer?

“We would like people to realize what a great center this is for an ad agency. We’d actually like to have more competition here. We think that Las Vegas is a great place to have a serious ad agency,” Kramer said.

That's interesting, considering they've all but removed themselves from competing here locally. No entries into the local Addys for the past couple years. Rumblings from the community suggest they stopped entering because they were tired of R&R Partners winning everything. So much for competition.

Any SK+G people care to chime in?

Will you be watching the show? We'll do an episode post-mortem after the airing.

  • New Caesars Palace Spot - Through the Eyes of a Bellman

    / Comments (0)

This new spot displays all the crazy things that could happen at your next Caesars Palace stay. We like that it's all on property. We like the note to The Hangover with the tiger. We like the music. And the bellman is charming, and not over the top. Even the Matt Goss cameo at the end makes sense once they reveal the location. The only off note for us is Celine. Just doesn't quite fit the sense of hip-ness the rest of the spot portrays. Considering how horrible most casino television ads are, all in all this is a great effort.

By now you've probably seen the video. A hologram of Tupac performed with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at Coachella last weekend.

    What's Your Wild Rabbit?

Who the hell knows. But Hennessy is pushing it out as the latest campaign. While the concept is a bit... esoteric, the execution is pretty incredible. This is a great docu-style look at Manny Pacquaio training in the Philippines and the lead up to a fight in our very own city, Las Vegas.

See more at the weird website Hennessy also has up that features an Alice in Wonderland rabbit-hole vibe and more videos. Color us confused:

  • Nike Fuel - Make It Count

    / Comments (0)

This video dropped for Nike's Fuel Band promoting it's message of #makeitcount
The premise being a film maker and his buddy go around the world in 10 days blowing their budget provided by Nike. It's filled with beautiful scenery and inspiring quotes, which immediately provide more depth than the film makers themselves.

We find this exercise more of an ego/fantasy play for the makers than it is showing the benefits of the product. And, it's eerily similar to this non-advertiser-funded trip which is better shot and infinitely more charming.

    Judge for yourself.

What could had been? Where would we be today? Would Zappos still move downtown if there was a giant, crazy Star Trek ship across the street?

This article tells the story of a brief experiment in what could have been. Instead we have the Fremont Street Experience. So, are we really winners or losers at this point?

  • Nike Unveils New-ish NFL Uniforms

    / Comments (0)

After a big hubbub about what Nike MAY do with the new uniforms, we finally get a peek at what will be gracing the sidelines of the cash-juggernaut that is the NFL.

AND, well, they basically look the same. New collars, slightly bigger logos on the helmet and a Nike swoosh will be about all most fans will notice. The logo-d gloves are a nice touch though.

Here's a video they launched with, and you can see all the jerseys up close and personal on their Facebook tab: http://apps.facebook.com/nikenfl/
