• Living Up To The Brand: Heart Attack Grill

    / Comments (0)

Well, it finally happened. And of course it was at their Las Vegas location.
A guy walks into Heart Attack Grill and orders a Triple-Bypass Burger, and gets exactly what he asked for.
There's been some debate on if this was a stunt or not. Any local PR folks want to jump in on some analysis?
Whatever it was, it grosses us out.

  • The Cosmopolitan's Latest Stays Weird

Still pushing the limits of traditional gaming advertising, The Cosmopolitan's latest efforts include a rock-opera break-out of Queen at the pool. Not sure what the "right amount of wrong" is in this idea though. Is there ever anything wrong about Queen? We'll say one thing, they're keeping it fresh. Has any other property on the strip put a new TV spot in the past year?

    What do you think?

In the latest swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated you'll come across a fairly innocent illustration of the Las Vegas strip. That is until you look closer.
The latest ad for LVCVA features exquisite body painting on four willing models.

You can see a behind the scenes (don't worry, it's not tooooo behind the scenes so it's still SFW) and more here.

  • The Mob Takes Over Downtown

    / Comments (0)

Less than 24 hours on the clock till the opening of Downtown Las Vegas' newest attraction: The Mob Museum

So is this the first jump into the new renaissance of downtown? The Smith Center opens in March. Then the Lied Children's museum and the Neon Museum later this year. Golden Gate is remodeling. The Plaza has continued to roll out their new dining options...
Is Zappo's the real deal for urban development? Or is Tony Hseih building his own little empire?

What other projects are you hoping gets developed? More restaurants? More bars?
    More retail?

Either way, we are excited to start seeing these projects come to fruition. And if all this brings in more places like Le Thai we're all for it.

    Update ////

We've been informed the ads and artwork you'll see out for The Mob Museum is the handy work of The Glenn Group.

Also, they seem to have teamed up with 1010 Collective on the development of The Mob Museum website.

  • Wynn's "New" Website

If you haven't seen it, you've probably heard about it.

    http://www.wynnlasvegas.com

Either way, it's worth your time to visit this "new" site. Which can only be seen as an homage to late-90's web design.
Completely disassociated with the offline brand, we wonder how this slipped through. Although, with Steve Wynn's failing eyesight, maybe we shouldn't.

    What are your thoughts?

It looks like 1010 Collective is getting into the First Friday gallery game.
They're promoting submissions for a "Phonetography" exhibit for March's event.
With the quality of phone cameras ever-increasing and the sheer explosion of Instagram, this should be an interesting concept to keep your eye on.
